About me

Hi I am Leanne and I'm from the countryside in the uk, I am a fitness coach, I hold a BSC Hon degree in sport and exercise science, I specialise in pre and post natal exercise and nutrition.

My passion is nutrition, I find it fascinating how our bodies metabolise foods and how everyone is so different so what one person suits another wont.

I have always been into sport I used to play football and do lots of swimming growing up, I suppose that has to do with having chronic asthma resulting in collapsed lungs every winter, so the doctors told my parents to take me swimming to help strengthen my lungs, it must of worked because I out grew asthma at 10 to everyone's surprise.

I had to stop playing football when I was teenager as I fell down a pot hole playing rounders at school and damaged my foot, only I could do something like that.. however I studied port in GCSE and realised the theory side was really interesting.

I then went on to study a BTEC in sport and exercise science at college along side psychology as I love psychology, I managed to finish the course with triple distinction and nearly maximum ucas points and could of walked into any university, my choice was to study in America or Australia as those countries know so much more about sport than the UK however it wasn't to be and unfortunately my dad was very ill with cancer so I choose to stay local, it is and will always be my biggest regret because I was more focused on my job which was working as a chef, if I could talk to my 18 year old self I would tell her to fight to go to America or Australia and if not then go away as you only do uni once and it should of been the best time of my life.

However I did my degree I went to Spain, I loved it, I wish I never came home but my dad was still very ill so I did.. I finished my degree I focused on psychology which is amazing, but when I finished uni the recession hit so to get a job would be a battle and I would have to settle with pub work.

It wasn't really till I had my first child in 2011 that my passion for fitness and nutrition would actually come about, during pregnancy it hit me what I was taking in my son was also taking in so I ate as healthily as possible and after I had him I started properly exercising, mainly just dvds and cardio, I then found jillian michaels and got some light weights and that's when it properly started.

During my second pregnancy in 2013, my dad sadely lost his battle, but I also started following people on instagram and found muscle, and really started to exercise with a mixture of cardio and light weights, I gained 7lb during her pregnancy and actually weighed less when she was born than I did before getting pregnant which wasn't on my plans.

I joined a gym last September and have started to weight train, I have messed about for ages not really doing anything, I also got a job in my gym, fast foreward to now and I have got my weight up, I have got stronger I am now following a proper programme, I am eating as clean and healthy as I can but following a 80/20 rule so I can still enjoy treats and go out for food without feeling guilty.

My children love fitness and love exercising with me, my partner does exercise occasionally, he can be lazy when he wants to be as well but he does have a challenging job.

What I want to do is change peoples lives, help people find the confidence to gain weight/loose weight, join a gym, go to the gym alone, do weights without the impression weights will make you bulky, eat healthily and enjoy treats
